Handheld X-Ray Inspection Has Changed. Meet Videray
Security threats continue to evolve. Smugglers hide contraband in new ways. Criminals adapt their methods. Frontline teams need equipment that keeps pace.
Traditional inspection methods often take time. They may also require dismantling equipment or moving suspicious items. That creates delays and increases risk.
Videray has changed that.
As a global leader in handheld X-ray technology, Videray has developed ultra-portable inspection systems that allow operators to look beneath the surface in seconds. These systems help security teams make faster and safer decisions in the field.
See More Without Taking Things Apart
Videray handheld X-ray systems are designed for non-intrusive inspection. Instead of opening packages or dismantling equipment, operators can inspect objects where they are.
This allows personnel to:
- Detect hidden threats quickly
- Identify weapons and contraband
- Inspect suspicious packages
- Examine vehicles and infrastructure
- Reduce unnecessary disruption
- Improve officer safety
High-quality imaging gives operators the confidence to make informed decisions while maintaining a safe distance.
Built for the Real World
Security professionals rarely work in controlled environments.
Border officers, police, defence personnel, corrections staff and critical infrastructure teams all need equipment that performs in demanding conditions.
Videray systems are lightweight, rugged and easy to deploy. They are designed to operate wherever inspections are required rather than being limited to fixed screening locations.
Industry-Leading Portable X-Ray Technology
Videray continues to push portable inspection technology forward.
Its product range includes handheld backscatter X-ray systems and transmission X-ray solutions for different inspection requirements.
The latest generation introduces improved image quality, brighter displays, faster processing and enhanced connectivity while maintaining the compact design that operators rely on every day.
Some models can inspect through significant material thickness, allowing operators to detect concealed objects that would otherwise remain hidden.
Applications Across Government and Industry
Handheld X-ray inspection has become a valuable capability across many sectors, including:
- Police
- Border security
- Customs
- Defence
- Corrections
- Aviation security
- Critical infrastructure
- Bomb response teams
- Industrial non-destructive testing
These systems support faster inspections while reducing the need to disturb suspicious items until the appropriate response has been planned.
