At Tactical Solutions, we take pride in offering high-quality gear that meets the needs of professionals and enthusiasts alike. Recently, Brian Bishop, a member of the New Zealand IPSC team from Nelson, shared his experience with our Rush24 Backpack (SEE bag HERE) and 5.11 pants (SEE pants HERE) during their journey to compete in Bali. His feedback highlights the exceptional quality and practicality of these products, and we’re thrilled to share his story.
Durability You Can Rely On
Brian has been a long-time user of 5.11 pants, praising them for their durability, versatility, and suitability for both competitions and everyday wear. “I have used the 5.11 pants for a long time now and have found them to be hard-wearing and suitable for both on the range and general wear, so I am happy to recommend them to anyone,” Brian said.
The Rush24 Backpack: A New Favourite
While Brian was familiar with the quality of 5.11 Tactical gear, the Rush24 Backpack was a new addition to his setup—and it didn’t disappoint. “The pack was a new item for me to use, and I found it to be of a high quality,” he noted. From the moment Brian unpacked the backpack, it was clear that it was designed to meet the demands of IPSC and outdoor professionals.
Unpacking the Features
One of the key highlights for Brian was the abundance of pockets and pouches. He explained, “To work as a range bag or just work in general, for me, they need plenty of pockets and pouches, and the pack has heaps; to be honest, it took me a while to find them all.”
Whether it’s storing oils, tools, or other essentials, the Rush24 Backpack provides organisation and ease of access, making it an invaluable tool during competitions.
Brian also praised the pack’s size, which struck the perfect balance between capacity and portability. “The size was perfect for what I carried without being too large. Otherwise, I would have had to carry too much,” he shared.
Comfort On and Off the Range
The ergonomic design of the Rush24 Backpack stood out for its comfort during extended use. Whether worn on both shoulders or slung over one—a habit Brian admits is hard to break—the pack offered excellent support. “It sat nicely on my back, whether I put it on properly or just over a single shoulder. Old habits die slowly, and I do this more than I should,” he joked.
Proven in Action
The Rush24 Backpack has continued to serve Brian well, both during and after the Bali competition. “I have not stopped using it since I got back and have already been away to a New Zealand match with it,” he said.
Summing up his experience, Brian added, “In short, I was impressed when it first arrived, and my respect for it has just grown. My thanks again to the team at Tactical Solutions for the support they gave the four of us with the sponsorship of such great gear.”
