Auckland has officially run out of car horns.
The Auckland Harbour Bridge has been closed due to excessive celebrations.
And somewhere in Townsville, a group of Cowboys supporters are still staring silently into the distance.
The impossible has happened.
The One NZ Warriors are NRL Premiers.
In a Grand Final that took years off the lives of supporters from both clubs, the Warriors defeated the North Queensland Cowboys 27-26 in Golden Point extra time to claim their first ever NRL Premiership.
Doctors throughout New Zealand have reported a sharp increase in heart-related complaints among men and women wearing Warriors jerseys.
The match had everything. Big hits. Controversial calls. Three disallowed tries. A streaker dressed as a giant kiwi.
And at least seven occasions where Warriors fans announced they were "done with this team" before immediately continuing to watch.
The Cowboys looked set to break New Zealand hearts once again when they scored with three minutes remaining to level the match.
Social media immediately descended into chaos. Half the country began preparing for heartbreak. The other half started blaming the referee.
Golden Point arrived.
Nobody could breathe.
Neither team could complete a set.
Several players appeared to forget the rules entirely.
